The Opportunity is Huge

How big is the foodservice opportunity? The numbers speak for themselves. Conventional products sell into the retail and foodservice markets at an approximate 70/30 ratio – in other words, foodservice sales account for about 30% of total manufacturer shipments of conventional food products.

By contrast, Natural & Organic foodservice sales, currently $330 million annually, represent just 5% of all Natural & Organic manufacturer shipments. Assuming that Natural & Organic products will ultimately sell into retail and foodservice at same ratio as conventional products, the untapped foodservice market for Natural & Organic food products is about $2.4 billon per year.
